Bin collection delays

There are currently delays with the following bin collections:

Behind Schedule:

Green Bins: Doncaster St, Hinshaw St, Garscube Rd, Sutcliffe Rd, Netherton rd, Howth Dr, Strathblane Gardens, Strathblane Place, Drumry Rd and Ledmore Dr.

Access Issues:

Green Bins: Lednock Rd, Garvock Dr, Leithland Ave, Roslea Dr, Sannox Gardens and Ardressie Place.

Blue Bins: Raithburn Rd and Raithburn Ave.

Food Bins: James Nesbitt St.

Brown Bins: Seggielea Lane.

Contaminated Recycling Bins:

Blue Bins: Sandaig Rd.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience. We anticipate the backlog at the above locations to be cleared on Wednesday 22nd February. If you have experienced a missed bin collection please let us know using our Report it online form.

What is a missed bin collection?

A missed bin collection is when we have not emptied your bin after 6pm on the scheduled collection day.

Before you report a missed bin collection please check:

  • Your bin was on the kerbside from 7am
  • You have put your bin our on the right day: you can use our collection calendar to check your collection days
  • You bin is not contaminated e.g. items which should not be put in the bin are in the bin
  • Your bin is not overloaded and the bin lid is fully closed

You can report a missed bin using our website.

You can also report a missed bin using our MyGlasgow app. You can download our app from your app store.

You can also report a missed bin by phoning us on 0141 287 9700.

How long does it take to collect a missed bin?

It can take us up to 7 days to return to collect a missed bin. If you have already contacted us to report a missed bin collection, please allow 7 days before contacting us again.
