Community Council Development Sessions

The Community Council Development Session (CCDS) is an informal capacity building structure which offers the Community Council members from across Glasgow a platform to engage in 'Peer Learning Sessions', and with a wide range of public and private agencies.

As a result, Community Councils can become better informed on matters such as public service delivery; have time to review systems and procedures relating to the operation of Community Councils; and seek to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of Community Councils.

The CCDS also provides opportunity for public and private agencies to share their operational vision; showcase their functions and areas of responsibilities; and to hear and gather first hand, the views, issues and concerns from a representative base of citywide community residents.

The Saturday morning dates  of the 2020 CCDS, held within the Burgh Court Hall, Glasgow City Chambers (East Building), 40 John Street, Glasgow G1 1JL are confirmed as 1st February 2020; 21st March 2020; 16th May 2020; 27th June 2020; 12th September 2020; 24th October 2020 and 5th December 2020 - they run from 9:30am - 12:30pm (registration and refreshments from 9am, followed by a buffet lunch afterwards).

Presentations for each CCDS will be available at the earliest opportunity following the most recent meeting date.
