The Year of Black Workers is a campaign launched by Unison in 2021 to tackle racism and improve the working conditions and opportunities for Black workers in the UK. The aim is to raise awareness, share best practice and mobilise support to address the structural and institutional racism that Black workers face in the workplace and beyond.
This event will take place on Thursday, 1st June 2023, starting with a drinks reception at 18.00 hrs. This celebratory event will showcase the very positive contributions made to ensure a more egalitarian and inclusive nation, dismissing stereotypes, enacting change for a more cohesive and fair society.
The dress code for the event is business/traditional dress.
