Glasgow City Council have launched a Gully Cleaning Programme in order to tackle gullies susceptible to flooding across the city. The programme will see the team servicing gullies in every neighbourhood over the coming months, with assistance from other operational services to undertake vital environmental maintenance.
We need residents to comply with the restrictions in order for your street to receive environmental improvement works, including gully cleaning, street sweeping, lining works, pot hole repairs, deweeding and delittering.
When this programme is on your street, a Temporary Traffic Restriction Order (TTROs) will be highlighted as being in place. This means for the times stated please DO NOT park your vehicle on the street. This is to allow access for all GCC operatives, vehicles and machinery needed to carry out essential maintenance.
If you park your car on a street with a TTRO it will be moved, and you may be fined.
We are currently scheduling in these works across the city, after recently completing a successful Week of Action in Craigend, which you can read about further here.
As the TTRO works are being scheduled, we will confirm upcoming neighbourhoods and specific streets on this page. You will also see signage on lampposts and no parking cones on the kerbside, please look out for these and follow the guidance on the highlighted dates.
