Any public performance of a film exhibition is controlled by the Cinemas Act 1985.

Under the Act all cinema premises require to be licensed by the local authority.

How do I apply?

To apply for a licence, return your completed application form with the appropriate fee to the Licensing Section.

Alternatively You can submit your application by post to the following address:

We recommend that you send the application by Recorded Delivery/Special Delivery to ensure that it is received.

How much will it cost?

The application will not be accepted without the correct fee.

How to make Payment

payment should be made by BACS Transfer (electronic banking) to the Licensing Board Account.  When making payments please quote your licence reference number if you are a current licence holder or quote Cinema/Premises Address if you are a new licence holder as detailed below:-

Please note your application will not be processed by the Licensing Section until the fee payment has been made. The fees are non-refundable.
