Contact Us

The easiest way to view information on your Council Tax account or Benefit claim is through our online portal. Register for our customer portal or e-billing

Information on our services, online access to our Council Tax and Housing Benefit forms (including new claims) and notifying us of changes is available via our links on the right.

Our contact teams are available to assist our customers through a range of contact options that is appropriate to the customers needs.  This includes the ability to engage digitally and takes account of additional support needs.  Our agents will assess the correct method of contact and make the appropriate arrangements.  Some of these contact methods are noted below.

If you have an enquiry about Council Tax debt as a result of an Equal Pay offer, you should direct your query to the agent representing you in your Equal Pay claim

Housing Benefits and Council Tax Reduction

  • You can make an application for Housing Benefit or Council Tax reduction online through our application form
  • Housing Benefit can only be claimed by pension age customers or customers in supported, homeless or temporary accommodation who have a rental liability

  • Council Tax Reduction can help towards your Council Tax bill and can be claimed by anyone who is on a low income or claiming benefits

Assistance with online forms

Glasgow Life offers a service for those citizens who require face to face assistance with navigating our online services on the Council website, completion of forms, signing up for customer self-service, setting up direct debits for council tax and reporting a change of address. This service is based in the Universal Credit Hubs within libraries throughout the city and appointments can be made by calling free phone number 0808169 9901.

  • Blind & Partially Sighted Customers

Documents such as housing benefit decision letters can also be issued in large text format for our sensory impaired customers. Please contact us to request this.

  • War Pensioners & Ex-Service Personnel

The War Pensions Scheme is for ex-Service personnel whose injuries, wounds and illness arose prior to 6th April 2005.
The scheme also supports war widows and is administered by Veterans UK.
