The Ashgill Recreation Centre (ARC) was opened in 2008 and is located within the heart of the Milton area of North Glasgow. The centre provides a variety of sports and activities in a safe and welcoming environment for young people and the community as a whole. We have a community gym which offers great value for money, a café with a great range of food on offer.  Our Click and Connect centre offers free internet and computer access.  Further details below.

Community Gym

Community Gym - For only £32 until 31 March 2025, £16 until 30th September 2024 or for £3 pay as you go, you can make use of our community gym, call the centre on 0141 772 7993 for info. Age 16+

Click and Connect

Thanks to our partnership with the Wheatley Group and Glasgow Kelvin College, our Click and Connect Learning Centre opened in 2014. The learning centre has 15 PCs with internet access, which can be accessed for FREE.  Registration forms need to be completed beforehand

Birthday Parties 

We have two options available for kids' birthday parties. With an on-site bouncy castle, soft play area, music system and catering, we can provide an afternoon to remember. 

The ARC Main Hall is the perfect space for children's birthday parties. 

Our two birthday party slots on a Saturday are: 12.00pm to 2pm and 3pm to 5pm.

To book a birthday party at the centre, pop in and speak to the staff or call 0141 772 7993.

**Please note a £20 booking fee is charged to secure your party and payable within 24 hours of booking. This is deducted from your balance. This amount is non-refundable and asked to be paid one week prior to party date. 

Main Hall  

The ARC's main hall can be used for a number of different sports like badminton, football and fitness classes, and is available to hire.

Activities and Programmes 

We have a variety of activities and programmes taking place throughout the year.  To find out the most up to date information about our activities visit our Facebook page where you will find the latest information.  Or if you are passing, pop in and a member of staff will be able to provide you with the latest information.

Boxing Gym

The boxing gym is open to young people and adults. There are two separate times for the young people and adults to attend.  

Adults - Monday - Thursday, 6pm to 7pm.

Young People - Tuesday and Thursday, 5pm to 6pm.

Steering Group 

The ARC has a Steering Group that is made up of local people and local organisations, they help fundraise for activities and programmes within the centre.  They also voluntarily deliver, in partnership with centre staff a variety of activities throughout the year such as Family Fun Day, older adults' lunch etc.  They are always looking for additional support and members.  If you're interested in joining the steering group, let the staff in the centre know and they will get someone from the group to contact you.  Or you can contact them on their Facebook page or email.
