As of February 13, 2023, the National Planning Framework 4 (NPF4) forms part of the Statutory Development Plan alongside the City Development Plan. More information on Scottish Planning Legislation is available here.

Glasgow's City Development Plan was adopted in March 2017, replacing City Plan 2 (2009). The Plan sets out the Council's vision and strategy for land use whilst also providing the basis for assessing planning applications along with its associated here.

The Plan is supported by a number of documents including Background Papers, Environmental Report, Habitat Regulations Appraisal, and a Schedule of Land. These can all be found here.

Copies of the plan can be downloaded from the council's website and are available to view in the local libraries.

Delivery Programme

The Delivery Programme sets out the actions required to support the implementation of the Plan. It details who has responsibility to carry out the actions and the timescale for the action.
