Charging for on-street parking bays began again throughout Glasgow from July 9. The service was suspended in March this year in response to the COVID-19 lockdown as a way to support key workers during the on-going public health emergency.

As part of the return of parking controls, any permit holder with a permit due to expire between 24 March, 2020 and 23 March, 2021 will be granted a three month extension to their permit to cover the suspension of the parking service during the emergency period.

The coronavirus COVID-19 continues to disrupt how we deliver services. Anyone wishing to apply for a parking zone permit at this time should send their application to this address:-

We are working hard to process parking permits, but due to the volume of applications, there may be a delay. We will be in touch once we have processed your application. Please be reassured, if you have applied for a permit and we have not processed your application within the published 10 working day timeframe, you will be able to appeal, without charge, any Penalty Charge Notice issued out with this timescales. Please ensure you meet the minimum qualifying criteria, otherwise we will be unable to reconsider any Penalty Charge Notice issued.

Use our interactive Parking Map to find out which parking zone your property is in.

Due to the fire in Garnethill we appreciate that some residents may have been displaced from where they usually park. To assist with this, your resident permit will be valid in Glasgow City Centre, Park, Woodlands and Woodside.
